From Hall (1858, p. 479): “Coral ramose, frequently bifurcating; branches very gradually tapering, cells somewhat distant, arranged in alternating series, subcylindrical below and gradually expanding in alternating series, subcylindrical below and gradually expanding toward the aperture, with the walls mcuh elevated on the basal and lateral margins.”
