Remarks

Originally described as Chonetes lepida by Hall in 1857. Recombined as Klocinetes lepidus by Bizzaro in 1995. Also sometimes called Retichonetes lepidus.

From Carlton Brett and Gordon Baird: “A small widely distributed chonetid found in many black to gray shales though the Givetian and Frasnian.”
