Remarks
Originally described as Strophomena inequistriata by Conrad in 1842. Recombined as Strophodonta inequistriata by Hall in 1867. Recombined as Douvillina inequistriata by Hall and Clarke in 1892 and Clarke in 1903. Recombined as Protodouvillina inequistriata by Harper and Boucot, 1978.
From Wilson (2014, p. 100): “Small to medium-sized shell, with quite convex pedicle valve. Hinge line extended to sharp ends. Surface with striae and finer striae between. To 25 mm.”
