Remarks
From Wilson (2014, p. 120): “Shell approximately twice as long as wide, with fine concentric lines of growth. To 10-15 mm.”
From Carlton Brett and Gordon Baird: “L. delia is the most common and widespread lingulid in the Middle Devonian. It is found in siliciclastic siltstone and mudstone facies but may even occur in nearly black shale suggesting a strong tolerance of hypoxia. The fact that articulated specimens are often vertically oriented and heavily compressed in the anterior-posterior axis indicates that these animals lived as modern lingulids, in burrows in the soft sediment but were frequently highly deformed.”
