Remarks

Originally described as Terebratula rectirostra by Hall in 1860. Recombined as Cryptonella rectirostra by Hall in 1863.

From Carl Brett: A rare species of terebratulid found mainly in high diversity assemblages such as the Centerfield Member and the Darien Center Submember of the Wanakah Shale and Tichenor Limestone of the Moscow.
