Remarks
From Carl Brett: This brachiopod is normally very rare; however, it becomes sufficiently abundant in the middle Kashong member that it was long recognized as forming a distinctive epibole: the Rhipidomella-Centronella bed (or R-C bed;see Brett et al., 2023), a condensed shell bed, where it occurs with high diversity assemblage of brachiopods, bryozoans and echinoderms; it was a pedically attached epifaunal filter feeder.
